What this site is
HintHarbor is a free password hint prompt generator with a safety-first design: instead of finished hints, it generates prompt templates with blanks across six memory categories — childhood, places, fictional people, media, inside jokes and mnemonic cues. You complete the blanks in your head, so your answers are never typed, stored or transmitted anywhere. Everything runs in your browser.

The guides cover the craft and the caution: what password hints are and where they appear, example patterns that work (and the mistakes breach data keeps revealing), and the security practices that keep hints from becoming leaks — including when to skip hints entirely and use a password manager instead.
Honest limits
Generated output is random data for practice, testing, documentation and creative use. It carries no connection to any real account, service or system, and must never be treated as real credentials or real security material. The limits are stated on the generator page itself — please read them before using the output.
No accounts, no tracking
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to install. The whole tool is a small JavaScript file that runs on your device.
